Our informal evening service normally takes place in the Parish Hall in Chipstead at 5pm on the second Sunday of every month. The format is simple: contemporary worship led by the worship group; a message from the Bible; prayer. There is also food! Sadly all public worship has stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak, so the evening service has moved to Zoom for the time being! If you would like details of the next service and how to join, please contact the church office. We would love to see you online!
Thank you to Jeremy Marshall!
Marshall came on 9th February to speak about 'Faith and Illness'. Jeremy gave a powerful testimony of being twice diagnosed with cancer, the second time being told it
is incurable. The essence of Jeremy's story is that despite
the sickness and disease present in the world, a life lived in light of
Christ's death on the cross means there is hope for the future no matter what.
He lives in Sevenoaks with his wife Jeanette and they have three children
together. Jeremy had a very successful career in London, most recently as Chief
Executive of C Hoare and Co. Thank you to all who braved the storm to come and hear Jeremy speak!
Thank you to Julie Sheldon!
On 12th January 2020 our special guest speaker was Julie Sheldon. Julie is a former ballet dancer who received healing from an incurable neurological illness. She wrote about it in her book 'Dancer off her feet' and for the last 30 years has been an international speaker / evangelist. This was her second visit to Chevening Church and we were delighted that so many came to the Parish Hall to hear her speak. She was, as ever, inspiring and encouraging! Thank you Julie!
