Harvest Events 2019 - a very big THANK YOU!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who worked hard to make our celebration of Harvest so wonderful this year!  The Barn Dance was the best-ever attended, with a huge number of children joining in with the dancing.  A big thank you to Gemma for organising and to everyone who helped.  Our Harvest Festival service led by Rev Christopher Johnson was wonderful, with many harvest gifts offered up, and prizes won for sunflowers grown since May. On Thursday 10th October the Harvest Supper in the parish hall was thoroughly enjoyed by all who came, with some lovely messages received since.  Our sincere thanks to Richard Mais, our after-dinner speaker, who spoke so well and interestingly about the Cutlers' Livery Company of which he is a member!  Thank you to Steph for organising the food and her 'behind the scenes' team of helpers who served and washed up.
After the Harvest Festival service, the children of Chevening C of E Primary School delivered the harvest parcels around Chipstead village and we know that these visits and gifts meant so much to those who received them.  One recipient has written to us:

"Dear All at St Botolph's Church and Primary School,
Thank you so much for the parcel and special things you have given to me.  I am so enjoying them ALL and send you all a very BIG HUG!"

The remaining parcels were delivered further afield by St Botolph's volunteers - thank you to those who helped.
It has been a very special season, and we now turn our thoughts to Advent and Christmas!
