Resources while the church is closed

On the welcome page you will find a list of online services, prayers and other resources which is updated daily.  Here, they are arranged into groups, for ease of finding something that might appeal to you.

Online services to watch:

1.  The website 'A Church Near You' lists all of the churches near to you when you enter your postcode, and those who are live streaming will say so.  You can then visit their website for more details on how to watch a service: click here.  The church closest to St Botolph's which is live streaming is St Nicholas, Sevenoaks.  This is their website where you can find more details.

2. Sung Mattins and Spiritual Reflections on the Pandemic from Holy Trinity Church in Dartford: click here.

3. 26/03/2020: St Justus Church, Rochester, is live streaming Morning Prayer every day at 9am on its Facebook page.  Click here to watch.

4. 24/03/2020: Durham Cathedral is posting live streams of services on its Facebook page.  Click here to watch them.

5. BCP Services: The Prayer Book Society is listing all online Book of Common Prayer Services of which is it aware.  Please click here.

6. Holy Trinity Brompton is live streaming services which can also be watched afterwards at any time.  Please click here.

7. Please click here and scroll down for a pre-recorded Service of Holy Communion from Durham Cathedral which can be watched at any time. It lasts around 12 minutes and includes prayers for all affected by the pandemic.


Orders of Service to Read Online:

1. The Church of England website has many orders of service to choose from.  You can select 'Contemporary' (Common Worship) or 'Traditional' (Book of Common Prayer) and choose between Morning Prayer, Prayer During the Day, Evening Prayer or Night Prayer, for the day in question.  Click here.
