RAISE THE ROOF
We need your help to Raise the Roof
In our parish we are blessed with a beautiful 12th century, grade 1 listed church building of which we can justly be proud. Whether you are part of our regular congregation or only use the building on special family occasions such as weddings, baptisms or funerals, I’m sure you will agree that to lose such an asset would be devastating.
Last year an architect’s inspection revealed that our roof needs serious attention. To do this vital and urgent work we need to raise £75,000.
Your donation, of whatever size, will help us to preserve this wonderful building that has been at the heart of our community for many generations.

About Raise the Roof
Our architect’s inspection revealed that the tiles on the north face of the nave roof require replacing. Acting now will save us from bigger and more expensive consequences such as damp and dry rot. We have completed a competitive tender process and a preferred contractor has been selected. It is our intention to start the works in April 2022 and to have completed by the end of June 2022. However before we can place the contract we must raise approximately £75,000.
Donate a tile
We will be grateful for gifts of any size. No matter how big or small, your donation will make a huge difference.
To fix our roof will require about 15,000 new tiles and we’re asking people to consider donating a tile.
You can donate 1 tile for £20 or 5 tiles for £50.
We’ll even write your name on any tiles you donate!!!
